POLISTINA: IS THIS WHAT WHELAN HAD IN MIND WITH STATE TAKEOVER OF ATLANTIC CITY?
SAYS BILLBOARD IS EXAMPLE OF A CONTINUED LACK OF CONCERN FOR THE CITY OF ATLANTIC CITY
Assemblyman Vince Polistina today called on the South Jersey Transportation Authority to immediately remove the billboard installed without any local approvals at the foot of the Atlantic City Expressway. The billboard blocks the Atlantic City skyline and numerous businesses in the area and is not only a complete eyesore for the City but is dangerous as it affects the sight triangles for motorists entering the City.
“The Camden County controlled SJTA has installed a monstrous billboard in the City without any local approvals despite protests from the City and the local community,” said Polistina, R-Atlantic. “This is an example of state government once again sticking it to the citizens of Atlantic City so that they can continue to add staff to the employment agency that the SJTA has become.”
“We should be doing everything we can to foster development in the City of Atlantic City,” said Polistina. “Instead, many of our elected officials are busy working on plans to raise tolls, raise taxes, deal with another state shutdown and usurp control from local municipalities.”
