Pleasantville's newest City Council
Member has found himself on there wrong side of the law.
Councilman Deveraux Blount was
arrested today by the
Pleasantville Police. It started last Thursday during cab
inspections ... An observant Police Officer saw Blount pulling into City
Hall ... and witnessed what he believed to be a fictitious inspection
sticker.
Upon further investigation, it was
in fact a bogus inspection sticker.
The police did further investigation
regarding Blount and learned that his drivers license was currently
suspended and has been suspended for years.
Additionally, the Pleasantville
Police discovered outstanding Warrants for Blount from Atlantic
City, Galloway Township and Pleasantville.
Blount was arrested and taken to
County Jail. He has not as yet posted bail.
The arresting officers were Police
Officer Herbert Simons and Captain Frank Balles.
