NJ Childhood Drinking Coalition Forms to Combat Underage Drinking By
New Jersey Children
TRENTON--- Stopping Childhood Drinking in the state is the goal of the newly formed Childhood Drinking Coalition,(CD Coalition) which will unveil its new website and multi-media Public Service Announcement campaign at a press conference to be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007.
The press conference will be held at the New Jersey Statehouse, in room 109 and begin at 9:30 a.m.
The CD Coalition is funded by the New Jersey Department of Human Services Division of Addiction Services (DAS) and includes all of the statewide substance abuse prevention non-profit, government and community action groups in the state, including the New Jersey Prevention Network, DARE NJ, the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey, the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and MADD, among others.
Officials for the Department of Health Division of Addiction Services, Governor’s Council, Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey and New Jersey Prevention Network will be speaking at the event. Information on the campaign and the new website starttalkingnj.com will also be available.
