The gates at  the Dam at Lake Lenape have been open to maximum mechanical limit since at least the Fall of 06.

 I have been told County Exec Levinson has conveyed the County Efforts to  address the issue.

 Apparently misinformation that nothing is being done by the Twp is incorrect

Large volume Pumping at more than one point to reduce the lake level from yesterday continues as well as sandbagging at key point to contain the river.

 A press release with more information is forthcoming.

The township will take all available steps to minimize the impact of this act of god.
