TRAFFIC DIVISION SOURCES AS FOLLOWS:

On Saturday April 21, 2007 at 2:22 AM members of the Atlantic City Police Department charged Atlantic City Councilperson Timothy Mancuso with Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving and Driving on the Beach.

Councilman Mancuso, 47, of Atlantic City, was seen driving on the beach in the area of Albany Avenue when he was stopped by Officer Annese K. Parks of the Uniformed Patrol Division. He was taken into custody. The vehicle a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer belonging to the City of Atlantic City was towed from the scene and placed in the City Tow Lot. As per John’s Law it cannot be released until 12 hours after the arrest.

Councilman Mancuso was cooperative during his processing at the Atlantic City Police Department. There were no injuries or property damage as a result of this incident.

Councilman Mancuso was released to the custody of a relative and is scheduled to be in Municipal Court on April 23, 2007.
