8th Annual “Toys for Kids” 
“Christmas in July” Block Party

 

The “8th Annual - Toys for Kids - Christmas in July - Block Party” will be held on Sunday July 15th from 12 noon to 6 P.M.  Because of the tremendous success and large attendance of recent years, the event has a new location which is Wabash Avenue and Davis Avenue,  along the bike path, in Linwood.

 

The “Toys for Kids” program is well-known through out Atlantic County where thousands of gifts are collected and then, distributed during the month of December to local children.  Because of the compassion and generosity of local sponsors and dedicated volunteers who help throughout the year, those less fortunate in Atlantic County are able to enjoy the Christmas holidays.

 

This year’s sponsors included Mercado Funding Group, Atlantic County Freeholder Alisa Cooper, Photography by Exposure, Mack and Macko’s Pizza of Somers Point, Grand Rental Station, Starns Shop-Rite of Somers Point and Mainland Fitness of Linwood.  Additional sponsors are still invited to participate in this annual event.

 

The annual event will feature an appearance by Santa Claus, the Finger Printing and Child Car Safety Unit from the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department, Pleasantville K-9 Unit, Atlantic City Fire Department Sandpipers, entertainment, refreshments, games, raffles and a live, radio broadcast.
