Atlantic County — Reform-minded Assembly candidates John Amodeo and Vince Polistina today called the $2.7 billion spending increase in this year’s state budget “unconscionable” and “Exhibit #1 in their case for wholesale change in Trenton.”

“Trenton politicians are addicted to spending,” said John Amodeo.  “It’s unconscionable that their answer to the affordability crisis we face in this State and a potential $2.5 billion deficit for next year is more spending.”

“The State Budget has grown by $10 billion since 2002, including $2.7 billion in new spending this year—that is simply unacceptable,” said Vince Polistina.  “We need new leaders in Trenton committed to cutting spending and reducing taxes; John and I will be those leaders.”
